We want to welcome you to this website and hope that it provides you with some updated information on the BOSS High-Risk Cohort.

A great strength of the cohort is the willingness of study participants to share updated information with us on an ongoing basis and take part in sub-studies for which they are eligible. The Johns Hopkins Breast and Ovarian Surveillance Service (BOSS) High-Risk Cohort is now in its 16th year and over time has become an incredibly rich resource of data for furthering our understanding of health outcomes related to research involving familial breast and ovarian cancer, including those with inherited mutations such as BRCA1/BRCA2. We thank the study participants for their ongoing participation and hope that what we learn will improve care for women and men with familial breast and ovarian cancer.

I look forward to sharing information, updates, and our research publications with you on this website as they become available. Being able to continue to collect information on a regular basis from all the study participants is critical if we are to answer important research questions.

Sincerely,

Kala Visvanathan, MD, MHS
